Scoop ReprintSource wants to make sure every customer receives the products and services they are looking for and need. In order to make your experience with us a quick and easy one, here are some answers to our most often asked questions. If your question is not answered here please feel free to contact one of our Reprint Specialists and they will gladly answer it for you.

Q: What is an article reprint? What are its uses?
A: An article reprint is a high-quality "press" printed reproduction of an existing editorial article that was written about you, your company, products or services. We print on 100 lb. white glossy paper. Green friendly? Recycled paper is available upon request for a small additional fee.

Unlike your existing marketing materials, a reprint is an unbiased 3rd party endorsement of your company, products or services. Reprints are beneficial as stand alone direct mailers or as promotional tools at trade shows and seminars. They also greatly enhance your sales literature and press kits as well as investor or PR packets.

To meet your individual needs, Scoop will custom design your reprint and handle all of the necessary copyright and photo permission/rights on your behalf.

Q: When can I expect delivery of my reprint order?
A: Scoop can accommodate most delivery requirements with advanced notice of your needs.

Our standard turnaround time is 10-12 business days from the time your order is placed until it ships. Rush orders can also be accommodated for an additional charge. Turnaround time for rush orders is approximately 7 business days.

All completed jobs ship FedEx Ground within California and FedEx 2 Day Air outside of California, unless otherwise requested. All rush orders ship via FedEx Overnight.

Your prompt review and response to our layout proofing process will expedite your turnaround time.

Q: What are my layout options?
A: A typical reprint is formatted to fit on an 8.5" x 11". If your article was tabloid or newspaper page size you may have the option to print full size or reduce to 8.5" x 11". We offer several color options to fit your specific reprint needs:

Full Color — The full color design reprints make a strong visual impact when showcasing your article. Articles that were originally printed in color including images, graphics or illustrations are best displayed as a full color reprint.

Two Color — These reprints are produced using black ink plus a second color. Adding a second color can bring attention by highlighting/shading a specific area or adding a second color to a publication or company's logo.

Black & White — These reprints are produced using black ink only (also referred to as single color reprint). Most B/W articles can be converted to color just ask your Reprint Specialist for details.

Q: Will I see a proof of my reprint before it is printed?
A: Yes. One of our layout artists will reformat your article and fax or e-mail you a "mechanical proof" (a rough draft with blank spaces for photos) to start the approval process. Once you have reviewed the proof and made any necessary alterations you will receive a "final proof." This proof will represent the final layout of your article and graphics as well as any other design elements you requested before it is printed.

Q: Can I make changes to the layout?
A: Yes. Your input on the reformatting of your article is welcomed and encouraged. We will reposition and resize text and photos on any "mechanical draft" until you are satisfied with the layout. However, due to copyright laws we cannot change or delete any text within the article without the prior written consent of the author or publisher. A reprint is a true reproduction of the original printed version.

Q: How much do reprints cost?
A: Our prices vary depending on the format and quantity you prefer. One of our Reprint Specialists can fax or e-mail you a customized quote upon request.

Q: What are your payment terms?
A: We require a 50% deposit of the quoted price before going to final print and will invoice you for the balance upon delivery. You can pay the deposit with a check or credit card, whichever you prefer.

Credit Card: We honor VISA, Master Card, and American Express.

Q: What are the minimum quantities for reprint orders?
A: The minimum quantities are typically 250 reprints for any format. If a smaller quantity is needed, please call one of our Reprint Specialists to discuss your options.
